#1: Your framing does not always compliment your work. Try a simpler frame. This one very distracting.
#2: The bird is looking over it's shoulder.....that gives your picture direction and the centering of the subject does not lead the eye.
#3: Bird is OOF
#4: The background is very distracting and hot in the bottom right.
#5: Cropping is your friend.
#6: The larger view of your pic is too large for the screen...try a smaller size , like 900........it makes it easier on the viewer so that he/she does not have to scroll to look at different areas of the pic.

a walk in the park every morning does wonders for the soul
Ok Thermal Raven. Is this better? I used a different shot where the bird is looking more at me, cropped it closer. I ditched the frame. I tried looking at the pic as close as possible. The birds seems to be in focus or I need glasses LOL
Now hot spots. How do I get rid of them? Here in Florida I have major problems with hot spots because of the very bright Florida sun. Would a UV filter help with that? If so I will put on my wish list. Right now I have just the basics. A tripod ( which I don't use enough) , a 28-200 mm lens and camera.
Thanks again!
Lynda
That is soooooooooooooooo much better
glad to see you lost that horrid frame......lol
Yeah use your tripod more...I know it's a schlep.....but ay......drag it around
The filter will also help quite a bit.

i dont understand why people have to hate them so much. they are so cute! and so loving. its just like tearing down forests and trees to make houses and random crap we dont need. its not like you see the birds tearing down our houses because they are "in the way"
